Yes abram, your’re right, shading is very important workflow process… anyway after some years of experience I’ve learnt that shading is a constant, what I mean: once done for example a “Steel” material, it will be always the same, I have no more to lose time to recreate it everytime, this is the same for every other kind of material (obviously I’m talking about “Architectural Visualization”, what I do). Import your model, start shading it using some of the shaders that come with vue and once you have done that, start tweaking them, you will learn a lot and shading is really one of the most important (with lighting) technic you must master to use any 3D application.

Vue material editor is very powerful and once you know how to use it, they are very little things you can’t do with it (it’s still difficult to create a good skin shader, but it’s difficult even in applications where you have dedicated shaders so …).

If you are on a deadline, maybe not, but otherwise you should see that as a great thing. Most of the time, import will go smoothly (unless the model is really crappy) so, most of the work will be in creating shaders for your imported models.

Ossosso, don’t take what I will say the wrong way, I’m not attacking you It will always be very hard to find models specifically designed for vue (you can try: Cornucopia, Renderosity, Geek At Play, AsileFX) so it will very often happen, especially if you have very specific needs that you will have to adapt models made for other software.

I’m not a professional, so the fact they are free is also a great plus for me It is rather annoying, but not a major problem since much of the material is in the Vue 8.5 content folder and Vue 9 will read it there.Runejw, thank you very much for the link you posted, I wasn’t aware of this place and they indeed have really good models. Anything that came on the Vue 9 Extras CD can't be read by Vue 9 including any legacy content, but the legacy content can be read by Vue 8.5. I have even tried copying the content from the Vue 9 content folder into a new folder with a different name, and then adding it as a collection but the result is the same. I have tired creating a new collection but Vue 9 will still not see the files, but it will see the same files in the Vue 8.5 content folder. I have checked the path to the content folder and it is correct. Has anyone else run into this problem, and does anyone have a solution? Thanks for any replies. The very same scenes and objects can be seen by Vue 9 if I navigate to the Vue 8.5 Infinite scenes folder so this does not make any sense to me. 5 Infinite, and I can double click on a file and get it to open in Vue 9, but for some reason Vue 9 cannot see them in the Vue 9 Infinite Scenes or Objects folders. This is very strange because I know that they are there and readable. Frame format 1024x576 Vue 9.0, After Effects Music - James Horner - You Don't Dream in Cryo.

In fact it does not register or even see any scene files being in any of the Sample Scene folders or any objects being in the Objects folder or sub-folders.ĭownload 10.0.XSTREAM EXTRAS torrent.Bit Torrent Scene. I have downloaded the extras CD from e-onsoftware and installed it into my Vue 9 Infinite folder under My Documents, but for some reason Vue 9 will not read any of the scene files or object files in that folder.
